Zaedyus pichiy : Species of cingulated mammal of the family of chlamypharides called pichi and known as piche or quirquincho . It is solitary and daytime animal. It inhabits grasslands and sandy soils where it excavates its burrows. It is omnivorous and opportunistic in its diet eating insects, worms and small vertebrates and sometimes vegetables and moss.
